About Me

My name is Mirjam. Two syllables: pronounce ‘Mir’ as in mirror and ‘jam’ as you would say yard, changing rd for an m.
It’s a typical Dutch name. And yes, I’m generally on time—but no, I’m not nearly 2 meters tall.

Though maybe small by Dutch standards, I’ve spend many years feeling quite tall, living in Portugal and Peru. Both stunning places, with beautiful nature, even mountains which obviously are quite magical for someone born in a country flatter than my belly.

Yup, even though I have a low BMI, my belly is not flat, and my butt is not cellulite-free.
My butt is tiny, but very functional—especially since I started eating right for me. Nowadays, I really love my tiny butt and am very grateful for my healthy body—with which I can see the beauty that surrounds me, dance, go for walks, create my own toxin-free deodorant, hug people I like, hug cats, cook, bake, eat…

Life should be full of wonderful experiences, and life should be fun, fulfilling. And that’s why I love supporting people to improve their health. Because with better health, life is more fun.

So, I’m a naturopathic nutritional consultant and a health coach. This means, first of all, that I not only know which diet changes you need—I can also help you implement these changes into your life.
I know it’s not always easy to start eating differently from one day to the next. So whether you just need a recipe, help prioritizing changes, or a strategy to keep that synthetic coffee creamer out of the house—I will support you.

Secondly, being a naturopath means that I like to address issues at their root.
Finding the root cause requires some investigation—generally in the form of asking questions about you, your life, and your health. Sometimes small lab tests can be done, but they are never mandatory.
Knowing more about you helps me understand your body’s strengths and weaknesses, where your issues started, and what we can do to turn the situation around.

Third, naturopathy is a healing modality we could call ‘natural’.
The medicine I prescribe will be foods, herbs, and possibly some supplements—but always non-synthetic substances. These have much fewer (or no) unwanted side effects and are more able to support your body as a whole.

And lastly, I love sharing my knowledge with you.
This way, you also understand why your health went off course, how we corrected it, and what you can do to prevent a relapse in the future.

Can’t sleep? Anxiety, low mood, menstrual pain, heavy flow, PCOS, PMS, perimenopause, endometriosis, low energy… and you’re ready to change this?
Then I can help you.
